NOMINATION HIGHLIGHTS
Chaim Mazal serves as Chief AI and Security Officer at Gigamon, where he leads the company’s enterprise-wide AI strategy and global security organization. In this expanded role, he works closely with the board and executive leadership team to drive AI innovation while ensuring strong governance, responsible adoption, and protection against emerging risks. He oversees global security, information technology, network operations, engineering services, governance, risk and compliance, internal business systems, and product security, aligning AI advancement with operational resilience and customer trust. He was instrumental in launching the first phase of the company’s multi-year AI strategy, establishing the foundation for secure and scalable AI innovation across the organization.
That responsibility is amplified by the scale and complexity of the Gigamon customer base. The company supports some of the most complex and highly regulated organizations in the world, including more than 80 percent of Fortune 100 enterprises, 9 of the 10 largest mobile network providers, hundreds of government agencies and educational institutions, and more than 4,000 global enterprise customers such as Lockheed Martin, AWS, and the U.S. Department of Defense. Mazal’s leadership ensures that not only Gigamon as a whole but also these organizations can innovate with confidence while maintaining strong security and compliance standards.
With more than a decade of cybersecurity leadership experience, Mazal has held executive roles at industry-leading organizations, including Kandji, ActiveCampaign, Avant, and Uptake. Since joining Gigamon, he has strengthened the company’s hybrid cloud security posture and enhanced security offerings for its partners and customers.
Under his leadership, Gigamon has solidified its position in the rapidly expanding deep observability market. In 2025, the company was recognized by Frost and Sullivan and 650 Group as a leading vendor in the high-growth deep observability category. The company also unveiled a forward-looking report outlining global CISO priorities for the year ahead, underscoring the increasing importance of deep observability in strengthening security posture and maximizing existing investments.
Beyond his operational leadership, Mazal plays an active role in advancing the cybersecurity industry. He serves on the advisory boards of eight prominent technology companies, including Cloudflare, GitLab Inc., and Cybereason. He pioneered SaaS-focused, engineering-driven security programs and led corporate scaling efforts that help organizations remain agile in mitigating evolving cyber threats. Through mentorship, thought leadership, and cross-industry collaboration, he continues to champion proactive security practices and responsible AI adoption, and was named to Security Magazine’s “Most Influential People in Security 2025” list.
