Overview

Regarding my professional background, I am a cybersecurity expert and have made significant contributions to the field. I presently serve as Director of National Cyber Excellence Department at the National Cyber Security Agency, where I lead a team of information technology and cybersecurity specialists. Our work focuses on strengthening Qatar’s cyber space whilst enhancing cybersecurity and digital safety standards throughout the state and society.

I have directed and contributed to the development and execution of various cybersecurity awareness initiatives. Notable amongst these are the Cybercrime Prevention Training Program, which has trained over 79,000 participants, and the National Cybersecurity Training Program, which offers specialised courses for both cybersecurity professionals and general participants.

I led the development and implementation of the region’s first Educational Cybersecurity Curriculum. This pioneering initiative delivers comprehensive cybersecurity and digital safety learning resources to students across all educational levels, whilst providing instructional guides for both teachers and parents.

I developed and directed the school field visits project “Cyber Eco” from its initial planning to full implementation. This project employs innovative educational tools—including training kits, awareness videos, interactive games and cyber-awareness stories—to engage students at all levels. The initiative has successfully reached 20,000 students across 200 government and private schools.

I played a key role in establishing Qatar’s National Cybersecurity Academy, a research and awareness institution focused on cybersecurity and digital safety. Furthermore, I contributed to the planning and implementation of the National Initiative for Digital Safety, a strategic awareness project at the state level.

Through these initiatives and others, I have worked to enhance Qatar’s cybersecurity and safety standards at institutional, community and individual levels.
