Overview

Jamie Singer co-leads FTI Consulting’s Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Communications practice and her experience has helped counsel Fortune 500 companies and public sector organizations through some of the most high-profile and largest cybersecurity crises of the past decade.

In her role, Jamie works closely with leading cybersecurity law firms, insurance companies and forensics providers to assist organizations with strategic communications and reputation management services before, during and after significant cyber incidents. She helps clients prepare for and minimize the reputational impacts stemming from complex, high-visibility data security and privacy issues from ransomware attacks to business email compromises to third-party breaches.

Jamie is recognized for her exceptional ability to strategically lead clients through the complexity of a high-impact crisis in a challenging environment with a critical eye on reputation management and responsive crisis communications. Jamie has worked with hundreds of clients navigating cybersecurity and data privacy issues across sectors, including healthcare, financial services, technology, retail, higher education, municipalities, and K-12 school districts.

Accomplishments

•Even as a new FTI joiner, Jamie has already lead the response to two out of five of the largest FTI cybersecurity incident responses by revenue in 2022. Jamie advises clients expertly through devastating ransomware attacks, most recently providing counsel to a leading global technology and service provider to the air transport industry that experienced significant data loss for major airlines and passengers around the globe. While Jamie’s expertise helped to combat inaccurate narratives from industry trade organizations, her ability to nurture a trusted partnership with her client allowed her to leverage FTI’s expanded knowledge and created a cross-practice partnership.

•As an experienced leader, she prioritizes educating and mentoring the next generation of thinkers and leaders. While she enjoys sharing her experiences and knowledge about cybersecurity, she mentors young people to becoming great leaders in their own right. She continues to expand the practice’s reach by building and nurturing relationships across the industry with top legal counsel, insurers, and other cyber professionals in the cyber field. She continues to work diligently to build cross-practice initiatives that focus on the healthcare and life sciences industries, organizing FTI’s Strategic Communications’ team to be leaders in incident response to the healthcare industry.

•Jamie’s passion and commitment to her field extends beyond her day-to-day role. As one of the nation’s preeminent expert in data privacy and cybersecurity communications, her perspective and voice is highly sought after. She leverages her experiences to educate a broad range of audiences. She has spoken on data security and privacy crisis communications topics at numerous industry leading events, including NetDiligence’s Cyber Risk Summit, the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Conference and the SANS Institute Security Summit. Her contributed articles have also been published in industry trade publications such as Security Magazine.
