Kathryn Wang, Principal for Public Sector at SandboxAQ, is recognized for her leadership advancing cybersecurity resilience at the intersection of artificial intelligence, quantum technologies, and national security.

In her role, Wang works closely with government and critical infrastructure organizations to prepare for emerging cyber threats associated with the quantum era. She has contributed to initiatives focused on accelerating the transition to post-quantum cryptography, helping organizations identify and modernize vulnerable cryptographic systems before quantum computing capabilities render current encryption obsolete.

At SandboxAQ, Wang supports programs deploying advanced technologies such as AI-driven cryptographic discovery and risk assessment tools that allow organizations to inventory, evaluate, and remediate cryptographic vulnerabilities across complex enterprise environments. These efforts strengthen cyber resilience across government systems and help ensure long-term protection of sensitive data and mission-critical infrastructure.

Beyond her work advancing cybersecurity innovation, Wang is also a recognized advocate for collaboration and workforce development in the cybersecurity community. She serves as co-chair of Uniting Women in Cyber under The Cyber Guild, an initiative dedicated to supporting the advancement and leadership of women in the cybersecurity field. She also serves as a board adviser to the nonprofit Building Cyber Security, which works to strengthen defenses against nation-state and criminal cyber threats while promoting education and community engagement.

Wang’s leadership and contributions to cybersecurity innovation and national security have also been recognized through her selection as a 2026 Wash100 Award recipient, an honor recognizing influential leaders shaping the future of government technology and cybersecurity.
