NOMINATION HIGHLIGHTS
Nyotron delivers a new type of automatic Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solution, minus manual threat hunting plus integrated prevention. Our PARANOID solution automatically whitelists trusted OS behavior and rejects everything else. No disk scanning, no signatures or machine learning. Nyotron’s approach is threat and application agnostic, providing defense-in-depth protection against the most advanced known and unknown attacks.
Nyotron is headquartered in Santa Clara, CA with an R&D office in Israel.
PARANOID was tested and certified by ICSA Labs to meet Advanced Threat Defense (ATD) Criteria v.1.0 standards by detecting 100 percent of lesser-known and unknown threats. ICSA Labs ATD testing is designed to test a solution’s ability to detect new and unknown threats that are typically missed by standard endpoint security solutions. According to the ICSA Labs report, “The Nyotron PARANOID platform detected 100.0% of the threats it encountered during testing, considerably better than the percentage required for certification.”
Nyotron was also recognized by CRN as a 2018 emerging vendor for its innovation in cybersecurity.
How we are different
Nyotron takes a radically different approach to endpoint security – while threats are infinite, there is only a handful of operating systems out there and they change infrequently. Most solutions focus on learning “bad behavior” in perpetuity – we focus on the finite instead. Nyotron’s PARANOID knows all the “good behavior” of the OS to instantly stop any attack.
In summary:
1. Threat-agnostic protection without signatures or machine learning/AI
2. Deterministic run-time defense without static file analysis or environment baselining
3. Complements existing anti-malware solutions to create true defense in depth, requiring no rip & replace
