Overview

ReliaQuest, a cybersecurity company specializing in Open XDR-as-a-Service, allows often overworked, short-staffed security teams to force multiply their operations to minimize complexity, increase visibility and reduce risks across their organization. With ReliaQuest GreyMatter, a cloud-native Open XDR platform, security teams have centralized access to telemetry from any security and business solution, whether on-premises, or in one or multiple clouds, to unify detection, investigation, response and resilience.

ReliaQuest combines the GreyMatter platform with 24/7/365 security expertise to give organizations the visibility and coverage they require for more effective cybersecurity programs. Following the December 2020 SolarWinds breach, ReliaQuest helped customers with threat hunting at an accelerated rate, completing a thorough investigation across all tools in 24-48 hours, as opposed to weeks or months. In 2021, ReliaQuest was the cybersecurity partner of the Super Bowl Host Committee successfully securing a major sporting event.

In 2020, ReliaQuest experienced more than 100% year-over-year growth in new customers totaling more than 300 global customers with a remarkable 97% retention rate – and more than 35% of employee growth occurring over the last year. With over 650 employees and climbing, ReliaQuest announced a new corporate headquarters to support the company’s ongoing growth and expansion – marked by a third round of funding in 2021 which resulted in ReliaQuest achieving unicorn status.

ReliaQuest also strengthened its commitment to training the next generation of cyber professionals by expanding its partnership with 3DE National, a non-profit organization dedicated to re-engineering high school education nationwide. The expanded program uses real-world examples to engage high school students and inspire them to start a career in cybersecurity. For ReliaQuest employees, the company maintains ongoing training and an internal leadership academy to help them build new skills no matter what phase of their career.

How we are different

● The average security team will have anywhere from 40-60 security tools that need to be monitored, and the industry is facing a rising skills shortage making it hard for companies to recruit and retain cybersecurity professionals. With ReliaQuest’s GreyMatter platform, the company is solving the biggest challenges for security teams – tool sprawl, lack of visibility, and shortage of cybersecurity professionals. GreyMatter specializes in “Open XDR”, enabled by ReliaQuest’s patented “Universal Translator,” allowing the platform to ingest data from any security tool or business system in a customers’ environment and scales to identify malicious activities – especially the often missed “weak signals” that are early indicators of an attack.
● ReliaQuest compares the malicious activities with threat intelligence from across the cybersecurity domain. Every customer is backed by the company’s team of security experts that work 24/7/365 to help with every investigation and to get ahead of security investigations. In 2021, a new functionality was added to ReliaQuest’s GreyMatter platform to automatically and proactively test customers’ security defenses. This allows ReliaQuest to validate that the security program is working as expected. Additionally, using the new “Model Index” features of GreyMatter, customers are also able to measure their security program against similar companies and receive specific recommendations on how to improve their defenses.
● ReliaQuest enables CISOs to manage everything across their network — from endpoints to cloud workloads and IoT devices — with ease. Scaling security experts with GreyMatter, ReliaQuest enables customers to protect their entire organization and focus on their core business. ReliaQuest customers have seen a tangible improvement across a number of key metrics after deploying the GreyMatter platform, including a 52% decrease in alert triage and response times, a 89% reduction in noise, 5x threat hunting acceleration, and a 35% reduction in Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
