Purpose-built for securing hybrid Active Directory environments, Semperis’ patented technology protects over 50 million identities from cyberattacks, data breaches, and operational errors. The world’s leading organizations trust Semperis to spot directory vulnerabilities, intercept cyberattacks in progress, and quickly recover from ransomware and other data integrity emergencies. Semperis is headquartered in Hoboken, New Jersey, and operates internationally, with its research and development team distributed between San Francisco and Tel Aviv.

Semperis hosts the award-winning Hybrid Identity Protection conference and podcast series (www.hipconf.com) and built the free Active Directory security assessment tool, Purple Knight (www.purple-knight.com). The company has received the highest level of industry accolades, recently named to Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500™ list for the second consecutive year (2020-2021) and ranked among the top three fastest-growing cybersecurity companies on the 2021 INC. 5000 list. Semperis is accredited by Microsoft and recognized by Gartner.

How we are different

Late last year, Semperis launched its ransomware task force for healthcare providers, formed in partnership with Sirius Healthcare, a leading provider of security consulting services for over 450 healthcare clients nationwide. The task force aims to improve the cybersecurity posture and resiliency of hospitals, pharmaceuticals, insurers, and other healthcare companies. Semperis has been called on to help numerous hospitals regain control of their environments—focusing on protecting and recovering their core identity management system, Active Directory—and continuing operations without disrupting patient services. In many cases, the AD was destroyed and required us to hunt down the adversary, close security holes, and eliminate vulnerabilities to trust the environment again following the cyberattack. Today, Semperis is proud to protect five of the largest healthcare organizations in the world.

Cyberattacks targeting Active Directory, the identity system used in 90% of organizations worldwide, are on the upswing. Attackers take advantage of weak Active Directory configurations to identify attack paths, access privileged credentials, and deploy ransomware. To help organizations stay ahead of cybercriminals, Semperis recently announced its latest release of Directory Services Protector (DSP), which provides a complete picture of exposure in hybrid environments by monitoring for threats in both on-premises Active Directory and Azure Active Directory in one view.

Last year, Semperis also launched Purple Knight, its free Active Directory security assessment tool built to help organizations uncover risky configurations and other security vulnerabilities.  More than 5,000 organizations have downloaded Purple Knight to evaluate and improve their overall security posture by closing common security gaps in their Active Directory environments, including the Windows Print Spooler service and Exchange vulnerabilities.
