Overview

Zero Trust Security requires an adaptable framework within which to manage, develop, implement, monitor, and mature the program. Zero Trust capabilities must meet regulatory requirements and address realities of the evolving cyber threat landscape. Success is predicated upon the government’s ability to correlate guidance, mandates, and directives from multiple authoritative entities with mission/operational requirements and an effective strategy for driving stakeholder buy-in to ensure adoption and alignment to security standards in the new paradigm. Attainment of milestones levied by OMB Memoranda and Executive Orders (EOs) must be achieved in line with defined best practices and guidance from NIST. This must be accomplished while adhering to the government’s lifecycle and change management process that provide the governance necessary to affect and sustain operational and security improvements across the enterprise.

No single product on the market today can solely implement a Zero Trust Security program. Zero Trust is not a product, but an operating model that drives continuous authorization for access to resources and data at a granular level. Such a modernization initiative is inherently challenging due to a lack of knowledge and interaction between groups within the organization who have conflicting goals and requirements. ShorePoint offers a Zero Trust Security service based on workstreams which focus on stakeholder engagement to bring all groups together under a centralized Zero Trust Program Management Office (PMO) to work towards a common goal of implementing a successful Zero Trust plan. ShorePoint’s Zero Trust PMO coordinates across functional teams (network, server, hosting, security, endpoint, etc.) to ensure collaborative progress towards a common vision of success in context of the organization’s goals and mission objectives. ShorePoint also establishes a Zero Trust roadmap and service catalog, which allows the organization to move towards Zero Trust in a faster, agile-based manner, providing enhancements and iterative benefits across CISA-defined pillars.

How we are different

Organizations across the government are embarking on a journey that will take years to migrate from legacy security architectures and capabilities to a modernized ZTA that requires coordination and collaboration across a vast number of stakeholders and a broadly distributed enterprise of systems, services, users, and data. ShorePoint’s PMO structure enables collaborative engagement, repeatable processes, quick wins, and a foundation for rapid expansion to achieve a vision of optimized ZTA capabilities across the enterprise. ShorePoint’s PMO remains adaptive to drivers and mandates, sets direction through policy, provides detailed implementation guidance and technical strategies, and coordinates with stakeholders and offices for implementation.

ShorePoint’s Zero Trust services provide a tightly integrated, high performing collection of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across several disciplines including policy, technical, and communications who all share in a common vision of driving success through stakeholder collaboration. This solution was selected by an Agency as the mechanism to drive their strategic ZTA program success and is the only program of its kind which is intended to “enable agencies to reimagine and transform the way they use technology to deliver their mission and services to the American public in an effective, efficient, and secure manner.”

ShorePoint uses correlated information to inform policies and standards that also provide meaningful insights that inspire our recommendations for additions of revised or new capabilities, requirements, strategies, and resources necessary to drive target outcomes. ShorePoint also makes recommendations which are decomposed into initiatives framed through Agile work packages that are organized, prioritized, and delivered to the organization. As a product/technology agnostic approach, this solution allows agencies/organizations to modularly optimize existing capabilities, maximize existing investments, and adapt the framework to already established technology standards within their enterprise – reducing disruption to operations and improving supportability and stakeholder buy-in.
