NOMINATION HIGHLIGHTS
Simon Wijckmans is the CEO and co-founder of c/side, the VC-backed cybersecurity company with tools for monitoring, optimizing, and securing vulnerable browser-side scripts. Wijckmans began his career as a contractor at Microsoft before he was 18. (Previously, he had been homeschooling himself to chart his own educational path within technology and cybersecurity.)
After becoming an employee at Microsoft, he worked for four years on major projects like Microsoft Surface, Azure, and Office 365. He then moved to the security company Cloudflare, working first as a solution engineer and then in product (including as a product manager working on Page Shield). He followed that with time at Vercel and a small startup before founding c/side to address the widespread (and growing) browser supply chain cybersecurity challenge.
Accomplishments
Wijckmans came up with a unique and comprehensive solution that solves an especially acute cybersecurity challenge: c/side can completely monitor, secure, and optimize all third-party scripts that run in web browsers.
A first-time entrepreneur, Wijckmans was able to land funding from some of the biggest investors in cybersecurity, including Scribble Ventures, Roar Ventures, and some of the most prominent names in the industry.
Wijckmans launched c/side to tremendous publicity in 2024, and Simon has been asked for his opinion on browser supply chain breaches from many top cybersecurity and IT publications, including SecurityWeek, Dark Reading, PC Magazine, CSO, Intelligent CIO, The Register, and others.
