Overview

The Thales Security Sessions podcast was launched in 2020 during the pandemic, to enable Thales to reach new audiences that engage with thought provoking content while at home, on the move or while doing other activities,

Hosted by renowned cybersecurity expert Neira Jones, the Security Sessions podcast series explores the technologies, people, and processes behind information and cloud security. We have covered topics such as the evolving threat landscape, remote access, digital transformation, payments security, compliance, IoT and 5G, as well as the people and technology that make it all work behind the scenes.

Our podcast features Thales experts alongside global industry experts from organizations such as Google, Mastercard, Forrester, and the World Economic Forum, to bring fresh perspectives on how to navigate the world of cybersecurity.

How we are different

• Our podcast is informal, relaxed and not scripted. Our experts are allowed to freely express their own views and our industry experts are from a mixed variety of geographies, industries and organizations. All the podcasts are hosted by our resident cybersecurity expert, Neira Jones, who is consistently able to add her own dynamic viewpoint to the conversation, and our podcast guests get actively involved in social media conversations once each episode has been published. All promotion of the podcast comes from organic, rather than paid, channels.

• The Security Sessions Podcast has experienced huge engagement growth throughout 2021, with our average quarterly listeners increasing 97% over 12 months, and our average quarterly subscribers increasing by 104%. It is available on all major podcast platforms.

• We are a truly global podcast – throughout 2021, we have had listeners and subscribers in over 85 countries By not making our podcast too technical, we are able to appeal to a broad audience, from the C Suite to the security novice, and to the consumer.
