In 3 bullets, summarize why this professional or team deserves recognition:

--Tim has more than 20 years of experience building, operating and growing information technology companies and has held numerous executive positions throughout his career.
--Tim inspires his team to work harder and achieve company goals while also promoting a fun and rewarding work culture highlighted by weekly company lunches, monthly co-worker recognition awards and other benefits.
--Tim successfully navigated Proficio through two rounds of venture capital funding led by Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors and continues to identify strategic growth and partnership opportunities to increase the company’s presence globally.

Proficio recently extended its consecutive quarters of recurring revenue growth to 30, totaling seven years of increased profitability. At the steering wheel is president Tim McElwee, who’s elevating the cybersecurity services provider as a leader in the managed security services sector.

Tim oversaw the company’s strategic expansion into APAC and EMEA by making key hires in those regions and opening new facilities. In May 2018, the company opened a Melbourne operation, Proficio’s third location in the Asia-Pacific region in addition to an existing global security operations center (SOC) in Singapore and an office in Hong Kong. In EMEA, the company opened its third SOC in Barcelona, Spain in May 2017. Tim also forged numerous, mutually beneficial partnerships to strengthen the company’s ability to cater to enterprises in these areas of the world.

As the company has grown (in both size and revenue) industry peers have taken note. In Q4 2017, the company secured a second round of funding from Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, bringing the firm’s total investment into the security services provider to over $20 million. The funding can largely be credited to Tim’s leadership, and his ability to propel the company forward and gain the recognition it deserves for the white glove service it offers. Tim is continuously seeking growth opportunities and refining the company’s security services to make sure it remains best-in-class.

Overall, Tim’s leadership at Proficio is instrumental to the company’s continued growth and success. He has a clear vision of where the managed security services industry is headed and has plans to continue to streamline the company’s services model to make cybersecurity easier for its clients.
