Amid increasingly sophisticated cyber threats, Viettel IDC’s Pentest team stands out as one of the region’s leading penetration testing units, recognized for deep vulnerability research expertise and measurable impact on the security posture of both clients and the broader technology community.

Our team consists of more than 20 security specialists with hands-on experience securing mission-critical systems across finance, banking, securities, e-government, education, and healthcare. Each year, they deliver over 200 security assessments and penetration testing projects, contributing approximately 45% of Viettel IDC’s total security revenue.

Through rigorous penetration testing and in-depth assessments, our team has identified more than 4,500 vulnerabilities, helping over 85 organizations gain full visibility into risks within their IT infrastructure, applications, and server environments. Beyond vulnerability discovery, we also partner closely with clients to remediate weaknesses, strengthen defensive capabilities, and build sustainable security strategies.

The team’s expertise is validated by a comprehensive portfolio of internationally recognized certifications spanning from foundational to advanced professional levels. All members hold credentials such as CEH and CompTIA Security+, along with advanced hands-on certifications including OSCP, OSWE, CRTO, CHFI, and AWS Certified Security.

One of the team’s most distinguished achievements is the discovery of more than 200 zero-day vulnerabilities across products and platforms from global technology vendors, including VMware, Stellar Cyber, and Eaton. These vulnerabilities were officially acknowledged and remediated, contributing to the security of the broader global technology ecosystem and demonstrating world-class research capabilities.

Our team has also earned international recognition by securing Top 2 at Standoff Cyberbattle, one of the world’s largest cybersecurity competitions. This achievement underscores our ability to identify and exploit vulnerabilities in highly realistic enterprise simulation environments alongside leading global security teams.

In parallel with technical excellence, Viettel IDC invests in developing the next generation of penetration testers through initiatives such as the Viettel Digital Talent program, providing project-based training and fully sponsoring international certification pathways.
