CoroNet addresses the fastest growing cyber threat that seeks to hijack or “commjack” the communication channel between any device and the WiFi network or cellular tower to which it is connected.

A 2014 study found that 88% of major networks in the U.S. had a commjacker present. The risk is tremendous. Commjacking gives industrial spies, elusive crime syndicates and hackers the ability to eavesdrop or record conversations, intercept data transmissions to/from devices, alter data, messages or the device itself remotely and implant malware, continuing to do unmitigated damage until detected. These cyber criminals seek to steal company IP, valuable business data such as contracts or pricing sheets, credentials and passwords. With the Sony incident, the corporate world has seen the damage cyber hackers can do to a company, literally wiping out a company’s IP, with losses ranging in the hundreds of millions.
