All other solutions focus primarily on data classification to assess data sensitivity and attempt to control data loss through data sensitivity.
Unified DLP: Our cross-channel solution provides organizations with a flexible, scalable, and cost-effective cloud-native platform that is mature enough (in DLP market since 2006) to include all the workflows, unified alert manager and threat hunting capabilities, classification sophistication, reporting, and dashboards that admins need for accurate DLP and insider threat detection, versatile policy enforcement (block, encrypt, smart send, allow with user justification, change sharing permissions, delete, read-only via web isolation, etc.) and simplified alert management.
Intelligent Classification: Our platform can discover and classify data at petabyte-scale, with speed and accuracy. Proofpoint uses a pre-trained proprietary Artificial Intelligence (AI) model to discover unstructured data in cloud and on-premises repositories. Using AI as well as a process that lets organizations validate and improve results, we can achieve up to 99% accuracy in our automated classifications of data. Our solution provides actionable recommendations on how best to prioritize protection of content, as well as the tools enabling protection. We automatically label files via integration with Microsoft Information Protection (MIP). Our AI model also generates dynamic dictionaries and data detectors that change as the organization's data changes. These are automatically integrated with Proofpoint’s DLP solution, augmenting customers' information protection efforts and accelerating time to value.
