John’s leadership has also transformed the culture of the company to be customer-focused resulting in renewal and expansion from early adopters.
Confluera CEO John Morgan has been creating high performing teams, businesses, and industry leading security and communications products for over 20 years. He has dedicated his career to the cybersecurity cause, helping many organizations around the world secure their networks, endpoints, data, applications, mobile devices, and manage identity access to assets. John’s focus is always to exceed the expectations of the customer and business stakeholders.
Currently, as CEO of Confluera, John is the leading force behind the development of the company’s next generation cloud native cyber-attack detection and response solutions. Confluera is the first company to create a CXDR solution, purpose built on and for the cloud.
Prior to Confluera, as the GM of the security business at F5, John grew a several hundred million dollar business working closely with sales, partners, and the customer. Here he helped drive inorganic and organic strategy to secure modern applications in DevOps, cloud, and hybrid environments. Most importantly, under his leadership and belief that empowering and engaging a team is key, the employee satisfaction survey scores of his team increased by over 40%.
In the past, John has also created and managed services to help millions of people collaborate with family and friends over mobile devices in the early days of the smartphone, and increased productivity for employees with mobile unified communications in the enterprise. He even helped manage one of the industry’s first cloud services to mobilize social networking, chat, and email for mobile users which gave access to services such as Facebook, Twitter, Google, Microsoft and Yahoo on early smartphones.
As an early member of the SonicWALL engineering leadership team, he also helped grow the company from a startup through IPO, increasing revenues over $200M.
