About the Cybersecurity Instructor Team of the Year category
Who this award is for
This award is for a group of instructors and the results their students achieve. One recent nominee is a global team of more than 85 instructors that delivers certification training for security vendors and has taught about 100,000 professionals.
An individual instructor fits Cybersecurity Educator of the Year, and the training company can also enter Best Cybersecurity Education Provider. Courseware or a lab platform can be entered as a product in Cybersecurity Training.
Related categories to enter
Each category is judged separately, so you can enter a nominee in every category that fits their work, with a separate nomination for each. Tailor each nomination to that category's focus. Entering several related categories gives the work more than one chance to be recognized.
How entries are judged
An independent jury of security practitioners, analysts and CISOs scores each nomination on leadership, innovation and impact. Each nomination competes in its category against peers in a similar setting and region. Your entry package, any sponsorship and public votes do not affect the jury's scores.
Strong entries in this category show:
- Leadership — how the team is selected, trained and kept current, and how instructors share material and feedback with each other.
- Innovation — teaching methods the team introduced, such as hands-on labs, live attack simulations, new courses on AI security or formats built for working professionals.
- Impact — results for students and employers: people trained, certification pass rates, student ratings, jobs and promotions gained, skills that customers' teams built. Lead with what students went on to do.
The jury awards Gold, Silver or Bronze, or a Finalist badge, and results are published on this site and announced to the 600,000+ member Cybersecurity Insiders community. Every approved nomination also enters the separate Community Choice award, decided by public votes.
