About the AI-Powered Security Solution category
What belongs in this category
The AI-Powered Security Solution category is about AI used to do security work, not about securing AI. It covers products where AI does the core job, such as detecting threats, investigating incidents, finding weaknesses, writing policy or answering analysts' questions, and where the product would not work the same way without it. Entries come from any area of security, from email and identity to cloud and compliance.
This is the open category for AI used for security. Narrower categories exist for AI SOC Platform, Agentic Security Platform, AI Penetration Testing, AI Code Security and Remediation, AI Threat Hunting and Detection Engineering, AI-Powered Vulnerability Management and the others listed below. A product that fits one of them should enter it, and can enter this category as well. Products that protect AI systems fit Security for AI and the other AI security categories. Defenses against AI-enabled attacks, such as deepfakes, fit Social Engineering and Deepfake Defense and can enter here when AI is central to the defense.
Related categories to enter
Each category is judged separately, so you can enter a product in every category that matches what it does, with a separate nomination for each. Tailor each nomination to that category's focus. Entering several related categories gives the product more than one chance to be recognized.
How entries are judged
An independent jury of security practitioners, analysts and CISOs scores each nomination on leadership, innovation and impact. Each nomination competes in its category against organizations of similar size and region, so a mid-sized firm is not ranked against a global enterprise. Your entry package, any sponsorship and public votes do not affect the jury's scores.
Strong entries in this category show:
- Leadership — the role AI plays and the scale it works at: customers, data or events the AI handles, and decisions it makes without a person.
- Innovation — what the AI does that earlier products could not, such as reasoning across sources, explaining its conclusions, or acting safely on its own within limits.
- Impact — results that show the AI's value: analyst time saved, threats caught earlier, accuracy compared with the previous method. Give figures from customers, and say how accuracy was measured.
The jury awards Gold, Silver or Bronze, or a Finalist badge, and results are published on this site and announced to the 600,000+ member Cybersecurity Insiders community. Every approved nomination also enters the separate Community Choice award, decided by public votes.
How to enter
A vendor can enter its own product or service, and a PR agency can enter it on a client's behalf. The nomination form has a confidential field for detail that is shared with the judges and not published, such as customer names, deployment figures or roadmap. Deadlines, pricing and entry steps are on the How it Works page.
